Anodizing Services

Our anodizing service is just for custom CNC parts.
One supplier for both manufacturing and anodizing finishing. Avoid the vendor blame game and get ready-to-assemble parts.

Custom Parts We Machined & Anodized

Optimized strictly for custom CNC machined and turned parts. We specialize in Type II and Type III anodizing for metals like aluminum, titanium etc. Non-standard components available.

Please note: First Mold provides anodizing service exclusively as a secondary finish for custom parts we machine in-house. We do not offer standalone anodizing services.

Materials We Anodize

To guarantee the highest quality and consistent results for custom CNC parts, our anodizing services focus exclusively on aluminum and titanium alloys.

Aluminum Alloys - The Industry Standard

Sandblasted CNC parts have a better texture

6000 Series

6061 | 6063

Best overall anodizing performance.
Anodizing gives CNC workpieces a nice‑looking green surface finish

7000 Series

7075

Top choice for high‑strength structural parts.
Powder coating gives CNC workpieces a thick and colorful finish

5000 Series

5052

Excellent corrosion resistance and formability.

Titanium Alloys

Our anodized titanium CNC parts are mostly used for surgical instruments, anti-galling fasteners, and high-end phone housings. Through this treatment, the titanium workpieces can achieve vibrant, fade-resistant colors for decoration or functional identification, while their surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance are significantly enhanced.

Anodizing Color Options

Anodizing service enables coloring across most color ranges, while pure white cannot be produced.

Note for Type III Hardcoat: Due to the dense oxide layer, Type III anodizing typically results in a Dark Gray, Bronze, or Black finish. Vibrant colors are generally not available.

Type II vs. Type III For Your Metal Parts

We provide both standard and hardcoat anodizing. Choose based on your part's functional environment. Our project manager will also provide you with guidance.

Precision Control & Custom Masking

Anodizing service utilizes masking techniques to shield specific zones from anodic oxidation.

CNC Dimensional Allowance

Our CNC and surface finishing teams are perfectly coordinated. As early as the CAM programming stage, we can calculate the thickness increase from the anodizing layer. Part tolerances will not be compromised by the anodizing service.

Custom Masking Capabilities

Critical features of the part are kept in their original state. Threaded holes, internal threads, and bearing mating surfaces are common examples. During the anodizing process, we protect these surfaces using custom silicone plugs and other methods.
