The success of any plastic part fundamentally relies on the fabrication of its injection mold. Generally, a customer’s project can be boiled down to two critical phases: rapid prototyping and full-scale mass production. While the core mechanics of mold making and injection molding are similar for both, the engineering details differ dramatically. These differences lie heavily in the choice of tooling material (Aluminum vs. Hardened Steel), mold architecture (single-cavity vs. multi-cavity), and the strictness of quality validation.
