Ze maken de montage, diagnose en het onderhoud van elektrische bedrading eenvoudiger. Ze zijn er in verschillende vormen, zoals bord-op-bord, spade en pigtail. Het doel, bijvoorbeeld gevoelige gegevensoverdracht, batterijaansluitingen of hoge stroomsterkte, bepaalt welk type wordt gebruikt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een behuizing van een autostekker is een speciale spuitgegoten plastic buitenkant die de elektrische aansluitingen in auto's beschermt. Zonder deze behuizing zou de kabelboom van het voertuig een \u201cwarboel\u201d worden en zou het bijna onmogelijk zijn om elektrische componenten op een ordelijke manier aan te sluiten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De behuizing fungeert ook als een ge\u00efsoleerde behuizing die ervoor zorgt dat gegevens- en stroomtransmissies in zware omgevingen niet worden onderbroken. Van deze auto-onderdelen wordt verwacht dat ze voldoen aan verschillende technische vereisten voor veiligheid, betrouwbaarheid en prestaties in ruwe omgevingen, waaronder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Vlamvertraging:<\/em><\/strong> Volgens de veiligheidsvoorschriften moeten materialen die in voertuigen worden gebruikt zelfdovend zijn om het risico op brand te minimaliseren. Dit geldt met name voor onderdelen die onder de motorkap blijven, waar de temperatuur meestal hoog is.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Thermische weerstand:<\/em><\/strong> Draden kunnen warm worden tijdens werkzaamheden, vooral als de werkzaamheden gepaard gaan met verwarming. De motorkap van ICE-voertuigen is bijvoorbeeld meestal heet door de warmte die vrijkomt bij de verbranding van de motor. Daarom moet het materiaal dat wordt gebruikt voor de behuizing van autostekkers een uitstekende thermische stabiliteit hebben. Gewoonlijk moet de plug-and-play-functionaliteit behouden blijven tijdens de volledige levensduur van het voertuig zonder dat de bussen en pennen verbinding verliezen of slijten.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-common-materials-used-for-automotive-connector-housings\">Veelgebruikte materialen voor behuizingen van autoconnectoren<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Technische hoogwaardige kunststoffen zoals polycarbonaat (PC), nylon en polybutyleentereftalaat (PBT) worden meestal gekozen vanwege hun lichte gewicht, hoge mechanische sterkte, hittebestendigheid, chemische resistentie, duurzaamheid en elektrische isolatie-eigenschappen. De meest gebruikte materialen voor connectorkappen voor autodraadbomen zijn onder andere:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>PBT:<\/em><\/strong> Heeft een grote sterkte en chemische weerstand. Meestal gebruikt in vlamvertragende connectoren. Ze zijn echter gevoelig voor krimpproblemen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Nylon (PA6T, PA66):<\/em><\/strong> Heeft een hoge mechanische sterkte en hardheid. Het heeft ook een goede slijtvastheid en is verkrijgbaar in vlamvertragende versies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>PC:<\/em><\/strong> Heeft een uitstekende slagvastheid en UV-stabiliteit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Vloeibaar Kristal Polymeer:<\/em><\/strong> Bestand tegen temperaturen tot 300 \u00b0C (527 \u00b0F), dus ideaal voor verbindingen die veel hitte genereren.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-client-requirements-and-concerns\">Vereisten en zorgen van de klant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De klant benaderde First Mold voor de productie van behuizingen voor autoconnectoren met twee belangrijke zorgen. De eerste had te maken met de maatvastheid van de connectorbehuizing. First Mold moest de belangrijkste afmetingen en toleranties in evenwicht brengen voor een probleemloze assemblage en naadloze werking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De klant was ook echt bezorgd over de productiekosten, gezien het grote aantal connectoren dat in elk voertuig wordt gebruikt. Met andere woorden, de klant wilde werken met een matrijzenmaker die de laagste kosten per automotive connectoronderdeel voor massaproductie zou garanderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-challenges\">Uitdagingen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De kleine afmetingen en prestatiespecificaties van connectoren voor kabelbomen in auto's vormen een unieke uitdaging bij precisiefabricage. Van elke mannelijke connector wordt bijvoorbeeld verwacht dat deze alleen met de corresponderende vrouwelijke connector overeenkomt om onjuiste koppeling te voorkomen, die kan ontstaan door een menselijke fout of door kleine maatafwijkingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het handhaven van de maatvastheid en tolerantie (door de fabrikant vastgesteld op 0,02 mm) was uiterst belangrijk om foutief koppelen te voorkomen en ervoor te zorgen dat de onderdelen stevig op elkaar aansloten. Daarom was het noodzakelijk om een ontwerp voor foutbestendigheid te implementeren. Zo werd elke paringshelft ontworpen met specifieke gespori\u00ebntaties die perfect klikken wanneer de twee samenkomen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alle wijzigingen aan de behuizing van de autoconnector moesten echter worden uitgevoerd in overeenstemming met de gevestigde prestatienormen voor auto's, zoals de USCAR-20. Met andere woorden, het ontwerp moest voldoen aan industriewijde betrouwbaarheids- en consistentievereisten. De experts van First Mold werkten nauw samen met de blauwdruk van de klant om aangepaste oplossingen te leveren voor de unieke uitdagingen van het project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-solution\">Oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Om te voldoen aan de maatvastheid en de krappe toleranties die de klant eiste voor de connector van zijn autodraadboom, moest First Mold verschillende spuitgietaanpassingen doorvoeren, waaronder het optimaliseren van het ontwerp van het onderdeel, precisiegiettechnieken en het implementeren van strenge procescontroles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-automotive-connector-design-optimization\">Automotive Connector-ontwerpoptimalisatie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First Mold begrijpt dat de eerste stap om maatvastheid te garanderen al in de ontwerpfase wordt gezet. Daarom was het belangrijk om de principes van Design for Manufacturability na te leven, waaronder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Het handhaven van een uniforme wanddikte om een consistente koeling te garanderen, wat het risico op differenti\u00eble krimp minimaliseert.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gebruik radii van minstens 0,5x de wanddikte om de materiaalstroom te vergemakkelijken en het uitwerpen te vergemakkelijken. Deze strategie voorkomt ook spanningsconcentraties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First Mold gebruikte simulatiesoftware om potenti\u00eble problemen zoals laslijnen en kromtrekken te voorspellen en op te lossen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-material-selection-for-client-s-automotive-connector\">Materiaalkeuze voor autoconnector van klant<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De keuze van het juiste materiaal was belangrijk om de maatvastheid te behouden en ervoor te zorgen dat het product voldoet aan de wettelijke normen. Op basis van de unieke vereisten van de klant voor de behuizing van de autoconnector werd besloten om polyamide (PA) versterkt met 30% glasvezels te gebruiken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Polyamide op zich is taai en slijtvast. Het heeft ook een goede chemische weerstand tegen brandstoffen en oli\u00ebn. Versterking met 30% glasvezel verhoogt de sterkte en stijfheid, maatvastheid, hittebestendigheid (tussen 120 \u00b0C en 180 \u00b0C) en kruipweerstand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mold-design-for-automotive-connector-housing-manufacturing\">Matrijsontwerp voor de productie van behuizingen voor autoconnectoren<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Het maken van precisieconnectoren met maatvastheid en tolerantie begint met het maken van hoogwaardige mallen. Dit was nodig om zinksporen en kromtrekken te minimaliseren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-achieving-cost-effectiveness-in-automotive-connector-housing-manufacturing\">Kosteneffectiviteit bereiken bij de productie van behuizingen voor autoconnectoren<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Na een goede beoordeling van de blauwdruk van het ontwerp van de klant stelde First Mold verschillende matrijsaanpassingen voor die zouden helpen om de kosten op korte en lange termijn te verlagen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mallen met meerdere holtes<\/strong>: Het gebruik van hoogrendabele mallen met meerdere caviteiten in plaats van mallen met \u00e9\u00e9n caviteit zorgde ervoor dat de klant meer connectoren in \u00e9\u00e9n enkele matrijscyclus kon produceren.
