Er is ook een toenemende druk op fabrikanten om milieuvriendelijke modellen te maken die voldoen aan strengere milieuvoorschriften. Een van de uitdagingen bij het innoveren van haardrogerontwerpen en -upgrades zijn de hoge kosten en het langdurige werkproces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eisen van de klant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een fabrikant benaderde First Mold voor een opvouwbare, draagbare haardroger die volgens hen een revolutie teweeg zal brengen op het gebied van persoonlijke verzorging. Hun nieuwe ontwerp heeft een intern compartiment voor het doseren van conditioner of parfum tijdens het drogen van het haar, een functie die niet overal verkrijgbaar is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De klant wilde 100 exemplaren van het product maken om te testen, met prioriteit voor precisie, duurzaamheid en esthetiek. Ze werkten met een krap budget en wilden de tooling zo snel mogelijk af hebben omdat ze het product wilden testen binnen een kleine markt voordat ze overgingen tot productie op grote schaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uitdagingen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De eerste uitdaging die de ingenieurs van First Mold moesten aangaan, was de snelle doorlooptijd. De fabrikant van f\u00f6hns wilde met name werken met een maker van f\u00f6hnmallen die 8 sets kon leveren. <a href=\"https:\/\/firstmold.com\/nl\/rapid-tooling-service\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"4029\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>prototype mallen<\/strong><\/a> binnen 30 dagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vloeistofcompartiment maakt ontwerp complexer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Na verder onderzoek van de productblauwdruk kregen de technici van First Mold een beter inzicht in de complexe aard van het ontwerp van de haardroger. Het bevatte bijvoorbeeld een compartiment waarin de geur of shampoo kon worden opgeborgen die tijdens het droogproces op het haar konden worden gesproeid. De vloeistofcontainer moet lekvrij zijn om te voorkomen dat er tijdens het gebruik vloeistof wordt gemorst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vereiste hoge nauwkeurigheid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Een van de eisen van de fabrikant van de haardroger om lekkage te voorkomen, was ervoor te zorgen dat de onderdelen gelijkmatige dikke wanden hebben. De behuizing bestaat uit vier panelen die tijdens de assemblage in elkaar worden geklikt. Hoe meer onderdelen er tijdens de assemblage in elkaar worden geklikt, hoe belangrijker het is dat de onderdelen de juiste nauwkeurigheid hebben voor eenvoudige assemblage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als de nauwkeurigheid te strak is, is er meer kracht nodig tijdens de montage, waardoor sommige onderdelen beschadigd kunnen raken. Als de nauwkeurigheid te los is, zal de <a href=\"https:\/\/firstmold.com\/nl\/tips\/snap-fits\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"20202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>snap-fit<\/strong><\/a> functioneert mogelijk niet naar behoren of maakt een ratelend geluid. De klikbalk kan herhaaldelijk onnodig buigen, wat kan leiden tot vermoeidheidsbreuk (afbreken van de haak).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Materiaalkeuze<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De grootste uitdaging bij de materiaalselectie is dat de gekozen kunststof dezelfde of bijna dezelfde eigenschappen moet hebben als het materiaal voor massaproductie. Het materiaal moet echter veilig genoeg zijn voor gebruik op <a href=\"https:\/\/firstmold.com\/nl\/guides\/what-are-aluminum-molds\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"30445\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>aluminium mallen<\/strong><\/a> zonder dat ze slijten. Kunststoffen met glasvezelversterkingen slijten aluminium mallen bijvoorbeeld sneller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harsen hechten ook goed aan aluminium. Daarom is het belangrijk om zorgvuldige voorbereidingen te treffen als glasvezelversterkte kunststoffen worden gebruikt voor de productie van haardrogers met aluminium mallen. Enkele van de belangrijkste voorbereidingen zijn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Grondige reiniging van het schimmeloppervlak:<\/em><\/strong> Aluminium oxideert snel. Daarom is het belangrijk om het oppervlak van de mal te reinigen met oplosmiddelen zoals aceton om verontreinigingen en oli\u00ebn te verwijderen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>\u00a0Breng een geschikt losmiddel aan:<\/em><\/strong> Om te voorkomen dat glasvezelmaterialen permanent aan het maloppervlak hechten, moet er een geschikt lossingsmiddel van hoge kwaliteit op het oppervlak worden aangebracht. Polyvinylalcohol (PVA) wordt sterk aanbevolen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strakke tijdlijn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Om de krappe deadline voor de productie van de f\u00f6hnmallen te halen, was een goede planning en uitvoering nodig. Het team van ingenieurs bij First Mold moest meerdere productietechnologie\u00ebn inzetten om ervoor te zorgen dat de 8 sets mallen voor de deadline klaar waren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Na een zorgvuldige evaluatie van de blauwdruk en doelstellingen van het project van de klant, stelden de ingenieurs van First Mold voor dat rapid tooling de beste keuze was voor de fabrikanten. Het team kwam tot deze suggestie op basis van het aantal onderdelen dat de fabrikant van de haardroger wilde produceren (100), de krappe tijdlijn en het beperkte budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rapid tooling of soft tooling wordt gebruikt om snel betaalbare matrijzen en prototypes voor productie te maken. Met deze techniek kunnen werkende mallen binnen enkele dagen klaar zijn, in plaats van de weken die nodig zijn voor mallen voor massaproductie. De voordelen van rapid tooling zijn onder andere<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Overbrug de kloof tussen prototyping en massaproductie:<\/em><\/strong> Fabrikanten kunnen gemakkelijk de overstap maken van prototyping naar massaproductie, omdat ze voor de productie van prototype-onderdelen gebruik kunnen maken van productiematerialen. Door het gebruik van CAD-software kon het team zeer gedetailleerde en nauwkeurige ontwerpen maken met minder kans op fouten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het gebruik van CAD-software maakte snelle iteraties van het matrijsontwerp mogelijk. Hierdoor konden de ingenieurs van First Mold in realtime samenwerken en hun idee\u00ebn op elkaar afstemmen voordat het fysieke prototype werd geproduceerd. Het gemak van de samenwerking was essentieel om de deadline van de klant te halen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om eventuele knelpunten die het project zouden kunnen vertragen verder te stroomlijnen, implementeerde het projectmanagementteam van First Mold een slanker proces en controleerde het de samenwerking tussen de ontwerp- en productieteams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Materiaalkeuze en testen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Op basis van de materiaalkaart stelde First Mold voor om een mengsel van polycarbonaat en acrylonitril-butadieen-styreen (PC+ABS) te gebruiken in combinatie met de aluminium mal, omdat dit mengsel eigenschappen heeft die het dichtst in de buurt komen van kunststoffen voor massaproductie. Enkele van de eigenschappen van het PC+ABS-mengsel die het de perfecte keuze maken voor de productie van haardrogers zijn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Biedt superieure taaiheid en hoge slagvastheid, zelfs bij lage temperaturen. Hierdoor is het duurzamer dan ABS alleen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Het is bestand tegen hogere bedrijfstemperaturen, waardoor het geschikt is voor functionele, aan hitte blootgestelde onderdelen, zoals de verwarmingselementen in haardrogers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PC+ABS heeft een hoge vloeibaarheid, waardoor het gemakkelijker te verwerken is via spuitgieten. Deze eigenschap maakt het ook geschikt voor het maken van complexe, dunwandige onderdelen met snellere cyclustijden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Het gemodificeerde materiaalmengsel heeft een hoge dimensionale stabiliteit, wat betekent dat het zijn vorm en grootte na verloop van tijd behoudt, zelfs onder omgevingsbelasting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Het gebruik van een PC+ABS-mengsel zorgt voor een hoogwaardige, glanzende oppervlakteafwerking die gemakkelijk gekleurd of geverfd kan worden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De toevoeging van ABS verbetert de vervormbaarheid in vergelijking met zuiver polycarbonaat. Het verlaagt ook de verwerkingskosten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>De technici van First Mold voerden meerdere tests uit om ervoor te zorgen dat het materiaal compatibel was met het project. De tests waren ook nodig om te valideren dat de onderdelen van de haardroger zonder fouten konden worden vervaardigd volgens de specificaties van de fabrikant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat de fabrikant van haardrogers heeft gewonnen met de oplossing van First Mold<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Door met First Mold te werken, kon de fabrikant van haardrogers het exacte aantal mallen dat ze wilden (8) vijf dagen voor de geplande datum geleverd krijgen, en binnen hun budget. Bovendien werden alle mallen met hoge precisie geleverd, in lijn met de eisen van de klant op het gebied van kwaliteit, functionaliteit en esthetiek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De tijdige levering gaf de fabrikant meer tijd om de mal te testen en de productieparameters te optimaliseren voor de prototypeproductie. Het missen van de deadline met een paar uur zou de maker van de haardroger zijn financieringspartner hebben gekost. Ze waren vooral dankbaar omdat verschillende andere makers van f\u00f6hnmallen het project hadden afgewezen vanwege de krappe deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andere professionele kwaliteiten waar de klant van genoot tijdens het werken met de ingenieurs van First Mold waren onder andere open en transparante communicatie. Elke suggestie of wijziging die het team aanbracht in het project werd goed gecommuniceerd, inclusief de reden voor de wijziging. Dat zorgde ervoor dat beide teams tijdens het project altijd op \u00e9\u00e9n lijn zaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De kern van het projectteam van First Mold was ontwerp voor maakbaarheid. Elk ontwerp werd goed doordacht om er zeker van te zijn dat het waarde toevoegde aan de haardrogerfabrikant. Ontwerpen werden aangepast en waar nodig werden dikke wanden vervangen door ribben.
