En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les plastiques sont solides ou \u00e9lastom\u00e8res \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante. Pour les transformer et les mouler, il faut g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement les chauffer jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'ils atteignent un \u00e9tat visqueux et fluide, puis les transformer pour leur donner la forme souhait\u00e9e. Ce processus cr\u00e9e certaines diff\u00e9rences entre les deux types de mati\u00e8res. Cet \u00e9tat peut \u00eatre atteint \u00e0 plusieurs reprises et ce processus n'implique que des changements physiques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les thermoplastiques, on peut citer le nylon (Nylon), le poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne (PE), le polypropyl\u00e8ne (PP), le chlorure de polyvinyle (PVC), l'acrylonitrile-butadi\u00e8ne-styr\u00e8ne (ABS), le polystyr\u00e8ne (PS), le polyoxym\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne (POM), le polycarbonate (PC), le polyur\u00e9thane (PU) et le polyt\u00e9trafluoro\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne (T\u00e9flon, PTFE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-thermosetting-plastics\">Plastiques thermodurcissables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les plastiques thermodurcissables se ramollissent et s'\u00e9coulent lors du premier chauffage. Lorsqu'ils sont chauff\u00e9s \u00e0 une certaine temp\u00e9rature, ils subissent une r\u00e9action chimique appel\u00e9e r\u00e9ticulation, qui les fait durcir de mani\u00e8re irr\u00e9versible. Une fois durcis, ils ne peuvent pas \u00eatre ramollis par un nouveau chauffage. Cette caract\u00e9ristique est utilis\u00e9e dans les processus de moulage : lors du premier chauffage, le plastique s'\u00e9coule et remplit la cavit\u00e9 du moule sous pression, puis il durcit pour atteindre une forme et une taille fixes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les plastiques thermodurcissables durcissent par une r\u00e9action chimique lors du chauffage, de l'ajout d'une pression ou de l'introduction d'un durcisseur, ce qui modifie leur structure chimique, les rendant durs et insolubles dans les solvants, et ils ne se ramollissent pas lors du r\u00e9chauffage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les plastiques thermodurcissables, on peut citer les plastiques ph\u00e9noliques, \u00e0 base d'ur\u00e9e, de m\u00e9lamine formald\u00e9hyde, d'\u00e9poxy, de polyester insatur\u00e9 et de silicone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les applications les plus courantes sont les suivantes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plastiques ph\u00e9noliques (utilis\u00e9s pour les poign\u00e9es de casseroles)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formald\u00e9hyde de m\u00e9lamine (utilis\u00e9 pour les stratifi\u00e9s plastiques)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>R\u00e9sines \u00e9poxy (utilis\u00e9es pour les adh\u00e9sifs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyesters insatur\u00e9s (utilis\u00e9s pour les coques de bateaux)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Esters vinyliques (utilis\u00e9s pour les carrosseries)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyur\u00e9thane (utilis\u00e9 pour les semelles de chaussures et les mousses)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-differences-between-thermoplastics-and-thermosetting-plastics\">Diff\u00e9rences entre les thermoplastiques et les thermodurcissables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-molecular-structure\">1. Structure mol\u00e9culaire<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La diff\u00e9rence la plus notable entre les thermoplastiques et les thermodurcissables est que les thermoplastiques peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9chauff\u00e9s et ramollis apr\u00e8s durcissement. En revanche, les plastiques thermodurcissables ne peuvent pas \u00eatre ramollis par r\u00e9chauffement une fois moul\u00e9s ; ils se d\u00e9composent \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thermoplastiques :<\/strong> La structure mol\u00e9culaire est lin\u00e9aire et ne comporte g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas de groupes r\u00e9actifs. Ils ne subissent pas de r\u00e9ticulation \u00e0 la chaleur, ce qui permet aux cha\u00eenes mol\u00e9culaires de glisser librement. Ils fondent donc \u00e0 la chaleur et se dissolvent dans certains solvants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plastiques thermodurcissables :<\/strong> Avant le moulage, ils ont une structure en cha\u00eene similaire \u00e0 celle des thermoplastiques. Pendant le moulage, ils subissent une polym\u00e9risation thermique ou chimique pour former une structure r\u00e9ticul\u00e9e. Une fois cette r\u00e9action termin\u00e9e, les mol\u00e9cules de polym\u00e8re forment un r\u00e9seau tridimensionnel qui emp\u00eache les cha\u00eenes mol\u00e9culaires de glisser, ce qui donne un solide insoluble qui ne fond pas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-melting-point\">2. Point de fusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les plastiques thermodurcissables ont un point de fusion sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 leur temp\u00e9rature de d\u00e9gradation. Ils se d\u00e9gradent avant de fondre lorsqu'ils sont r\u00e9chauff\u00e9s apr\u00e8s durcissement, ce qui les rend non recyclables. Les thermoplastiques, en revanche, ont un point de fusion plus bas, et il existe une plage entre leur point de fusion et leur temp\u00e9rature de d\u00e9composition thermique o\u00f9 ils peuvent \u00eatre transform\u00e9s sous diverses formes, telles que le moulage par injection, le moulage par soufflage, l'extrusion et le soufflage de film. R\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les deux types de polym\u00e8res r\u00e9sistent \u00e0 la rouille ou \u00e0 la corrosion et conviennent aux applications ext\u00e9rieures et au contact avec des milieux corrosifs. Toutefois, les thermoplastiques sont plus r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 la corrosion chimique que les thermodurcissables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-durability\">4. Durabilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lors de la fabrication de plastiques techniques pour les voitures ou les appareils \u00e9lectrom\u00e9nagers, la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la chaleur et la durabilit\u00e9 sont cruciales. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les mat\u00e9riaux thermodurcissables sont plus durables que leurs homologues. Ces polym\u00e8res sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plus l\u00e9gers et pr\u00e9sentent une excellente solidit\u00e9, une grande robustesse et une bonne r\u00e9sistance aux chocs. Ils peuvent \u00eatre renforc\u00e9s par des mat\u00e9riaux tels que la fibre de verre et la fibre de carbone. Ainsi, les avantages structurels et la stabilit\u00e9 dimensionnelle des plastiques thermodurcissables les rendent plus adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-processing-techniques\">5. Techniques de traitement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Plastiques thermodurcissables :<\/strong> Ils sont transform\u00e9s sous forme liquide par des m\u00e9thodes telles que le moulage par transfert de r\u00e9sine (RTM) et le moulage par injection de r\u00e9action (RIM). Le processus de durcissement comprend des inhibiteurs, des durcisseurs, des plastifiants ou des charges. Le choix du renforcement d\u00e9pend du r\u00e9sultat souhait\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thermoplastiques :<\/strong> Ils peuvent \u00eatre transform\u00e9s par diverses m\u00e9thodes, notamment le moulage par injection, l'extrusion, le formage sous vide et le thermoformage. Les thermoplastiques sont d'excellents isolants thermiques, ce qui se traduit par des temps de refroidissement plus longs que les autres plastiques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
